Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

All Wishkah Valley students eat breakfast and free lunch FREE due to the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)! Participation is automatic and families are not required to fill out an application. It is our goal to feed all students of Wishkah Valley School a nutritious and well balanced meal.

What is the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)? Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows schools with a high eligibility for free and reduced-price meals to provide a no-cost reimbursable lunch and breakfast for all students in the school regardless of income.

Will my child receive free or reduced-price meals even if we aren’t income eligible? All students will receive a no-cost reimbursable lunch and breakfast meal, regardless of income.

Why am I being asked to complete the CEP Family Income Survey? The Department of Education uses the number of eligible students to determine the amount of aid for school districts, among other things. The family income survey can be filled out at any time during the school year. A school with more eligible students will generally receive more aid.

I have more than one child, do I need to fill out more than one form? No, only one form is needed for all your children.

What happens if I refuse to fill out the CEP Family Income Survey? If households fail to complete the CEP Family Income Survey, the delivery of programs and services in your child’s school may be impacted; therefore, it is very important that every household accurately completes the form.

Will the district share my information? No, the information collected on the CEP Family Income Survey will be protected and kept confidential.
