Genius Hour Highly Capable Class (4th-5th grade M,W,F; 6th grade T,Th)

This year, our Highly Capable classes are beginning the year with a unit in Entrepreneurship. Here they create food for an alien diner. They were responsible for inventing food items, creating a food menu with prices, and creating some of the menu items from craft supplies.

Last year, our Highly Capable class had units in Creative Writing, Computer Programming, Binary, Cryptography, and Logic Puzzles.

Math Olympiad

Two of our students participated in the Math Olympiad at Miller Jr. High on April 27th.

HiCap Fair

Three of our students participated in the HiCap Fair at Aberdeen High School on May 5th. Sydney Cooper was recognized as one of the top 3 students in the fair for her artwork.
