The Grange Hall School

As people moved further up the Wishkah Valley a second school opened on the Aberdeen Gardens Road. This school was known as the Grange Hall School or Aberdeen Gardens school. Students north of the school up the Wishkah Valley had to cross the Wishkah River at Johnson's Bar. Prior to the construction of the first bridge, school children had to go across the river in a boat. The Grange Hall eventually used the building and today it is a private residence.

Below is a photograph courtesy of the Neet family of Aberdeen Gardens which shows the Grange Hall School circa 1929. Notice that the caption reads "Robert Gray School."
